The Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Award is presented annually by the college baseball foundation honoring the most outstanding devision 1A player during the complete college baseball season. The award is a tribute to a slick fielding short stop who played at Texas Tech University, from 1977 to 1980 and led that team to its first ever trip to the southwest conference.
